[ At least that's what she'll see when next she looks.

When she knocks however she's greeted by a tired looking Vax'ildan. He looks like he hasn't slept in a while with the dark bags under his eyes and the way his hair is sticking out of his hair tie. Stepping aside he waves her in with a fond and gentle sort of look, even if he's tired he knows how to be a good host. ]

Come on in, we can take that stuff to the kitchen.

[ Beleth's face immediately pulls into a worried look when she sees how Vax looks. Not that she expected him to be doing well, it would be more of a shock if he was chipper. She steps into the house, taking a curious look around. ]

Vax'ildan, how many people live here, exactly? I know there is you and Percy.

...I imagine he's not doing well.

Right now it's just myself, Percy, and my...girlfriend, Keyleth.

[ There's a hesitation there that comes from still not being sure what words to use with their relationship. Keyleth is the love of his life and 'girlfriend' feels like it's not enough. But they aren't married and doubts they ever will be but he loves her and that means something. ]

He's not, I think he's locked himself in his forge agian...ro he's over at Barcus'.

[ He leads her towards the kitchen. ]

Keyleth? I didn't know one of the people here was your partner.

[ She's going to assume this Keyleth is well aware of Vax's proclivities and flirtation -- Vax is not the kind of man to sneak behind his woman's back.

Metaphorically. He seems like he could be very sneaky in general. Just not in relationships. ]

I'll bully him into eating. We discussed some possible experiments a while ago, and I recently got my hands on a substance that I think would interest him. I can ransom it in exchange for him eating. [ She turns to look at Vax. ] I trust I don't have to do the same for you? I'm not sure what I'd have to bribe you with.

She is, she's wonderful. I think you'd like her.

[ Keyleth definitely knows how Vax is and they both have agreed that they are free to have other partners so long as their hearts remain with one another. Something that is easy for Vax. ]

You aren't the only one. I think both of us have been doing that. But no, you don't have to bully me to eat. Or bribe me. Though I wouldn't say no to a nice dinner with you and your handsome partner.

[ He's teasing.

Well, she has good taste, so I'm sure I will.

[ Once they arrive in the kitchen, Beleth starts piling out the food from the basket. Fruits, sandwiches, little finger foods that don't have to be heated up. They're all running on the same idea: All that has to be done to consume them is grab them and start eating. ]

Well, if a dinner is necessary to make sure you're eating, then how could I refuse? But only if you bring your partner as well. I'd like to meet her.
